Air filter problems, thermostat malfunctioning, and blown fuses or tripped breakers are some of the most typical HVAC repairs.
The air filter regulates both airflow and air resistance. Its purpose is to remove dust, grime, and other particles from the air and prevent it from collecting within the HVAC system. Over time, the filter becomes filthy and finally clogs, creating extra wear and tear and lowering the system's effectiveness.
If you've set your thermostat but your HVAC system isn't maintaining your home at the appropriate temperature, you may need to have a professional inspect your thermostat instead. A faulty thermostat is frequently to blame because it is not delivering the necessary signals to the HVAC unit. It is simple to repair a broken thermostat. The technician can readjust it and, if that doesn't work, will recommend that you replace it.
One of the most typical HVAC repairs is blown fuses or tripped breakers. When the blower starts working too hard, which is commonly caused by an obstruction in the airflow, the furnace may trip a breaker. Airflow resistance and obstruction are often caused by a clogged air filter. If the furnace continues to trip the breaker or blow a fuse, one of our technicians can look into the problem further and determine the best course of action.
The average cost of replacing an HVAC system is $7,000, with a usual range of $5,000 to $10,000. Depending on the brand and size, this corresponds to $25 to $60 per square foot of coverage. A fresh new installation will cost between $1,500 to $12,500 including ductwork and permits.
