carrier split AC. whole house system, 3 zones, three floors. found that the upstairs zone damper was stuck open, causing air to flow upstairs even when thermostats satisfied or set to the off position. also found that the second floor damper was stuck closed, and not allowing air flow to that floor replaced both zone dampers and tested. system. is now operating as it should.
