customer had showed me the downstairs thermostat, which was displaying an error message for no power.
I disconnected the thermostat and then put it back on and the reir message had cleared and the system is now working.
I also disabled the auto scheduling and nest sense that was causing the thermostat to adjust the settings on its on. it now should stay wherever the customer chooses to keep it.
checked the upstairs system and it was running fine. I did adjust the thermostat as well
upstairs Trane split AC.
found that the outdoor fan was running but the compressor was not. this was causing no cooling as the compressor wasn't sending refrigerant. reason was due to a failed capacitor.
replaced the capacitor and tested and system. is now running and cooling as it should.
recommend cleaning the unit for better performance. attached a quote for our HVAC Protection Pledge to clean and maintain both systems twice a year.
downstairs Trane split AC.
found system very low on refrigerant causing it to not cool.
searched and found that the evaporator coil is leaking and that the lineset near the coil is leaking too.
will have to replace coil and portion of the lineset.
submitting information to AHS for authorization of repairs.
due to age and conditions all options should be explored.
Replaced the condenser fan motor and fan blade on the customers upstairs Lennox system.
found a leaking evaporator coil in a Goodman system
carrier split AC whole house. found that the compressor was having issues starting at times. when it did run, every checked ok.
replaced a weak capacitor and added a hard start kit to help the compressor overcome the initial start 6.
downstairs split AC. Goodman condenser and all style evaporator coil.
gathered information needed for a quote to replace the evaporated and condenser (AC).
quote was sent.
